I was originally from New Bern I lived there for 42 years until moving in 2000. I know the area extremely well. Being able to find this place to stay was great it puts you not in the center of town but it’s not too far from where you want to go or what you need to do. I was also glad it had a spacious fenced in backyard. Our puppies were able to enjoy that too. I would highly recommend it and would definitely stay away

I booked Michael’s place to attend my family’s reunion received news regarding the passing of a family member ended up attending a funeral as well ! I write this review with tears and a smile ! I’ve stayed in a lot of places communicated with a lot of host “ Michael’s kindness shown to my family & I during this difficult will never be forgotten “ Thank you❤️‍🩹 This place felt like home “🏠 The neighbors so friendly & kind ! Michael’s place was clean & sanitized this place was nice & relaxing the furniture & beds were comfortable kitchen & bathrooms were well stocked with essentials we had access to the washer& dryers, garage, grill with two sitting areas /porches one screen in. 5 minutes from the city center of New Bern ! I will definitely book this every time I visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯

Michael was very proactive for our visit. House was perfectly located with a short drive to the inner city of New Bern. Extremely clean and well stock with every day utensils. Extremely quiet and safe neighborhood.

For us it’s always about the location. We like to park and walk. This house had plenty of parking and was an easy walk into downtown! While the house was more than what we needed for two people, the layout and amenities would service a larger group well!

This place is perfectly Located close to all down town New Bern has to offer. A perfect stay for our small family and dogs. We walked each night to something close by. The apartment was also very clean and plenty of supplies for long term stays (we stayed for a month). Would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this place.

Michael was a great and responsive host. We had to evacuate out of Hurricane Erin's path and booked Michael's home at the last minute. He was even able to accommodate our request to check in a little early. Spotless home, nice hot tub, and in a great location. Highly recommend this home.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “My family of four and our little Yorkie absolutely loved our stay at Michael’s place! The home was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Michael was an amazing host—super responsive, friendly, and thoughtful throughout our stay. The location was safe and convenient, making it easy to get around. Even our Yorkie felt right at home, which made the experience even better. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend Michael’s place to anyone looking for a wonderful Airbnb stay!

Enjoyable experience. PROS : Close to everything downtown. Parking was in front and beside the home. The front porch was so nice to sit and watch enjoy conversations. Easy to walk to everywhere. Pleasant. Beds were comfortable. Linens were clean. Refrigerator was spotless. Dishes silverware were nice. Ghosts were very quiet. CONS: The house was of course old as the town. Floors were tilting and squeaking in some places. Doors didn’t shut properly. Guest Bathrooms were small and needed updating. Stairs were steep. House originally had musky odor that quickly dissipated after opening the doors and windows. All of these issues were expected with an old house so not a problem for us.

Michael’s home in New Bern was absolutely perfect for our stay! It was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Michael was so easy to communicate and work with, which made the whole experience stress-free. This was the ideal spot for our family to gather, and we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town!

Michaels place was cozy and comfortable. Probably one of the nicest Air bnbs we've stayed in. No expense was spared on decor, furniture, comforts, linens, etc. which is rare to find. The home is around 15 minutes to downtown New Bern and 45 mins to Emerald Isle.
